Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, History Department Faculty Member Prof. Dr. Sevilay ÖZER, who was appointed as the Dean; took over her new position from Prof. Dr. Ayşe Gül MUTLU GÜLMEMİŞ in a ceremony held on 16.11.2023 at 10:30.

The ceremony was attended by the Head of the Anthropology Department Prof. Dr. Fatma Arzu DEMİREL, Head of the Nanoscience and Nanotechnology Department Prof. Dr. Rıdvan KARAPINAR, Head of the History Department Prof. Dr. Hasan BABACAN, Head of the Turkish Language and Literature Department Assoc. Dr. Canan OLPAK KOÇ, from the Archaeology Department Prof. Dr. B. Ayça POLAT BECKS, faculty members of the Faculty and Faculty Secretary Halil ÖZ.

Prof. Dr. Ayşe Gül MUTLU GÜLMEMİŞ, who handed over the deanship, expressed her happiness by saying to Prof. Dr. Sevilay ÖZER, “I am very happy to hand over the duty to you. I am sure you will be very successful. I wish you all the best” and handed over the duty to Prof. Dr. Sevilay ÖZER.

Prof. Dr. Sevilay ÖZER, who took over the deanship, said, “First of all, I would like to thank our Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin DALGAR, who deemed me worthy of this duty. I would like to thank Prof. Dr. Ayşe Gül MUTLU GÜLMEMİŞ for her services to our Faculty so far, and we will benefit from her experiences in the future. I wish you success in your new position as the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences. This is a relay race; a team effort. It is a duty that we will carry out together with the administrative and academic staff. I wish it to be beneficial on behalf of all of us.”

The ceremony ended with the presentation of flowers and mutual thanks.
